HUGH R. O’KANE
President and Chief Executive Officer
Hugh R. O'Kane is the third generation of the O’Kane family to enter the Electrical Contracting business. Since joining the Company full-time in 2000, he has worked in all areas from Project Management and Estimating to Finance and Marketing. In September of 2008, Hugh was promoted to President and CEO, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the overall daily operations and long-term planning of the Company. Hugh holds a B.S. in finance from Boston College and an M.S. in construction management from Columbia University. Hugh is a Licensed Master Electrician in New York City.
Executive Vice President
John O'Kane, a third generation member of the O’Kane family, joined the Electrical Contracting business in 2006. As Executive Vice President, John takes a hands-on approach to managing the day-to-day operations of HOK. Prior to his current role, John served as a Project Manager for both the Electrical and Telecommunications divisions of the Company. John holds a B.S. in finance from Boston College.
Since joining HOK in 1986, Joe Conroy has risen through the Company as a Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman, Project Manager, Assistant Superintendent and is currently our Superintendent. He is responsible for overseeing approximately 300 Local 3 Electricians in New York City.
Assistant Superintendent of Telecommunication
Sal Toscano has been with HOK since starting as an Apprentice in 1984. Through the years, Sal has worked as a Journeyman, Foreman, General Foreman and Project Manager for the Electrical and Telecommunications divisions of the Company. Sal currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Telecommunications, responsible for overseeing all Telecom operations at HOK
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Brescio oversees all financial operations for HOK and its affiliated businesses. Prior to joining HOK in 2013, he spent 13 years with General Electric. His various roles there included overseeing a multibillion dollar bond portfolio for the GE Pension fund, providing project financing and corporate loans to energy companies for GE Capital, and auditing operations globally on the GE Corporate Audit Staff. He earned his MBA from Columbia University, is a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program (FMP), and holds a B.S. in accounting from Boston College. He is a 6-sigma Black Belt (GE’s quality program) and a CPA.
Vice President of Construction
Dennis Oliva has been with the Company since 1982 and has played a critical role in Estimating, Value Engineering, Project Management and Marketing over the years. Dennis previously held the title of Superintendent of HOK.
Hugh O'Kane has more than 35 years of experience in the Electrical Contracting business since joining his family company in 1973. He formerly served as President until 2008. Hugh holds a B.S. in finance from Boston College and is a Licensed Master Electrician in New York City and the Town of Oyster Bay.
Kevin O'Kane has more than 35 years of experience in the Electrical Contracting business having joined his family company full-time in 1976. He formerly served as Executive Vice President and CFO. Kevin holds a B.S. in accounting from Boston College and is a Licensed Master Electrician in the State of New Jersey.
